Kathy Puzey

Associate Professor, Department Head

Puzey’s work has been exhibited throughout the United States and abroad. Including such locations as Toyko, Japan; Chamalieres, France; Dhaka, Bangladesh; University of Hawaii, Hilo, HI; the Artspace Gallery, Richmond, VA; and the Benedictine University, Lisle, IL. In 2014, she was named the Caine College of the Arts Teacher of the Year. She was awarded the Caine College of the Arts researcher of the year in 2011 as well as a $10,000 Artist Fellowship from the Utah Arts Council based on her print and mixed media work.

Holland Larsen

Lab Manager and Instructor

Holland Larsen was born and raised in the Salt Lake City, Utah. In 2017, Larsen received her MFA in Printmaking from California State University, Chico. In 2015, while attending CSU, Chico, she was awarded the Graduate Research Fellowship to complete a body of work on Northern California river formations and the paths of river rocks. In addition to the research fellowship, Larsen was awarded the Hopper Graduate Award and Outstanding MFA in 2016.  

 Prior to graduate school, Larsen completed her BFA in Printmaking & Drawing at Utah State University in 2014. Awards and scholarships during that time include the Legacy of Utah State Award, Marie Eccles Caine Foundation – Russell Family Scholarship, two Undergraduate Teaching Fellowships, and the Outstanding BFA in 2014.  

 Since graduating from CSU, Chico, Larsen has taught at both of her alma mater as an adjunct instructor of printmaking and foundations. In 2020 she was awarded the Visiting Assistant Professor of Drawing at Utah State University. She continues her work at USU today holding the title of Printmaking Lab Manager. In addition to teaching, Larsen has continued to exhibit print work throughout the West and Intermountain West.
